Architectural Glow

architectural glow by joyce robinson

I designed a tablerunner that created a warm vibe and would be relaxed to quilt. I started with a darker-than-usual palette of batiks and tried for imperfect repetition. I love the Architectural Glow that looks like it is coming from windows in buildings. Maybe city or maybe ancient buildings. I used folded flaps to add dimension and rayon thread to add even more glow.   —Joyce Robinson
