eclipse by joyce robinson

I was challenged by Helen Gregory to design a quilt that could help promote a new quilting ruler (Easy Circle Cut from Wright’s) for cutting circles. Then Eclipse went to a trade show to do some marketing work.

I pieced the background and used my design wall to audition raw-edge circles and have fun with the random placement of colors. The circles got attached during the quilting process. The loose spiral quilting is very dense. I used YLI variegated machine quilting cotton thread.   —Joyce Robinson
