I’m still in love with Japanese taupes. I never thought the love-affair would last. The subtle shades of brown, grey, pink, tan and olive make such a beautiful combination. Sophisticated and full of color in their own way. Taupe Hope is made from leftovers. The “mother quilt” is almost finished so you’ll be seeing it soon. Taupe florals, plaids and geometrics are made by a number of fabric manufacturers, but Daiwabo is my favorite. —Joyce Robinson
